ABOUT US
About Micro Kitchen Inc.
Micro Kitchen Inc. is developing a supported pathway for people who want to turn cooking skills into a safe, manageable food business.

Why we’re developing food business support
Knowing how to cook and knowing how to start a food business are different things. Understanding regulations, preparing a kitchen and working out costs can feel like a lot to take on alone.
Our aim is to make those early steps easier to understand, with education, practical guidance and a focus on sustainable small-scale enterprise.
We’re starting with Darebin and greater Melbourne, welcoming experienced home cooks, former chefs and culturally diverse entrepreneurs, including people facing barriers to employment.
Our food enterprise
program and future plans.
Phase One · Micro Kitchen
A proposed program covering business plans and financial forecasts, council preparation, training guidance and ongoing mentoring. We are seeking funding to deliver the full program.
Phase Two · An online marketplace
Phase Two is planned to include an online marketplace to help program participants promote and sell their products to their local communities. The marketplace is a future stage and is not operating yet.
Grounded in the community
We want food traditions and local skills to have room to flourish. That means careful growth, manageable workloads and responsible operations that respect neighbours.
Micro Kitchen Inc. is a Victorian incorporated association, registration A0128627N. We welcome conversations with organisations that share these aims.
